What if I live in a windy area?

You may still be able to grow but your loofah yield won't be as good. If you can shelter the plant as much as possible from the wind while still alloowing maximum sun that would help the plant thrive. If you are growing on the ground, the wind is not an issue but they really don't like a constant blast as the stems twist and break. If you can manage to get your vines up and over, it will somewhat protect the rest of the plant.
